Christmas is a season of joy and cheer, but at Rotary Beirut Cedars, it is also a season of intention—of remembering those whose celebrations are often quieter and less seen. Each year, our club chooses to turn festive warmth into meaningful action.
On December 19, this spirit came alive through our traditional annual Christmas visits to Amour et Partage, supporting the elderly, and Kids Alive, an orphanage caring for children in need. The initiative brought together 10 Rotary Beirut Cedars members, who actively engaged with beneficiaries throughout the day. In total, 40 beneficiaries were reached, including 9 elderly individuals and 31 children.
The day was filled with interactive games, shared meals, laughter, and the distribution of gifts to all beneficiaries, as well as the magical presence of Santa and his elves—creating moments of connection, dignity, and pure joy for everyone involved.
This year, Beirut Cedars went even further by thinking beyond celebration and toward sustainability. Through the success of our Cookie Boxes Project, which mobilized members in cooking, packing, selling, and sharing, the club was able to fund and build a safe outdoor playground—a joyful and secure space where children can play, laugh, and feel protected throughout the year.
This initiative reflects the Rotary Action Plan by Adapting service to real community needs, Engaging members in hands-on fellowship, Connecting with local organizations and beneficiaries, and Measuring impact through both immediate relief and a lasting infrastructure contribution.
At Rotary Beirut Cedars, Christmas is more than a moment—it is a commitment to lasting impact, compassion, and spreading joy where it matters most.
